A Fresh Take on the Holiday Classic Movie

If you are a fan of Frank Capra's seminal holiday movie, then this is a unique way to experience it live on stage as it comes to your city! It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play is the ultimate heartwarming holiday favourite. Based on the beloved film It’s a Wonderful Life, this adaptation by Joe Landry invites you to step back into the 1940s and take your seat inside a vintage radio studio!

What's The Story?

Follow the trials and tribulations of the hardworking George Bailey, whose kind-hearted sacrifices throughout his life push him to the edge – until he realises, with a little divine help, how he has touched the lives of everybody around him.

This novel take on the annual favourite was devised by Joe Landry, who felt that the story shouldn't just be limited to the screen. Performed in the style of a 1940s radio play, the performers not only take on multiple roles but also make the sound effects (do you hear that bell ringing?). This production is a throwback to days gone by and is now performed across the country to great acclaim, even being endorsed by the sole surviving member of the film's cast, Karolyn Grimes, who played little Zuzu!
